1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PropVeil, the property management service operated by [company name] ("PropVeil", "we", "us"). PropVeil is available as a mobile app and as a website.

By creating an account or using PropVeil you agree to these Terms. If you use PropVeil for an agency or company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf.

2. What PropVeil is, and what it is not

PropVeil helps landlords, agencies and their teams manage properties, tenants, leases, rent records, maintenance and documents.

PropVeil does not collect rent and is not a payment intermediary for rent. Tenants pay their landlord directly, for example by MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, bank transfer or cash. The tenant then uploads proof of payment, and the landlord reviews it. Rent is marked as paid only after the landlord approves the proof. PropVeil records what the landlord approves; it does not verify that money has moved.

PropVeil takes no commission on rent. The only money you pay PropVeil is your subscription (see the Subscription and Refund Terms).

PropVeil is a software tool, not a law firm, accountant or estate agent. Leases and receipts generated by PropVeil are drafts built from the information you enter. You are responsible for checking them and for complying with the law that applies to your tenancies.

3. Accounts and roles

You must give accurate information and keep your password and device secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Anyone can create a landlord or agency workspace. Tenants, caretakers, managers, owners, accountants and vendors join only by accepting an invitation sent by a workspace administrator. Each role sees only what that role needs.

The workspace administrator decides who has access, and is responsible for the people they invite, including removing access when someone leaves.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Plans and limits

PropVeil offers a free Starter plan and paid plans (Gérant Pro and Agence Pro), plus custom Enterprise arrangements. Each plan has limits, for example the number of properties, the number of active tenants in each property, team seats and which features are included. They are shown on our pricing page and in the app.

If you reach a limit, you can upgrade. If your plan ends or you move to a lower plan, your existing data stays, but you cannot create more than the lower plan allows, and features that the lower plan does not include are switched off.

We may change plans, prices or features. We will give you reasonable notice of changes that affect a paid plan you are already on.

5. Your content and your tenants' data

You keep ownership of the information you put into PropVeil, including property details, tenant records, photos, payment proofs and documents ("Your Content"). You give PropVeil permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you and your team.

You are responsible for having the right to enter your tenants' and team members' personal data, and for telling them how you use it. For that personal data, you decide why and how it is used, and PropVeil processes it on your behalf.

6. Acceptable use

You must use PropVeil lawfully and follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, do not misuse the service, break the law, upload content you have no right to share, or try to access data that is not yours.

7. Our service and availability

We work to keep PropVeil available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may update, change or pause parts of the service, for example for maintenance or security.

Features that depend on other providers, such as WhatsApp messages, email delivery, mobile money payments or AI-assisted maintenance suggestions, can fail or be delayed for reasons outside our control. AI suggestions are advice only: always use your own judgement.

8. Intellectual property

PropVeil, its name, logo, software and design belong to [company name] or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. They do not give you any ownership of it.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PropVeil is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost rent or profit, or for decisions you make using information in PropVeil.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid PropVeil in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop using PropVeil and delete your account at any time from the app. When you delete your account, it is deactivated at once and your personal data is erased after a 30-day grace period, apart from what we must keep by law (for example financial records).

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or is used for unlawful activity. Where reasonable, we will tell you why first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using PropVeil after the change, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Disputes will first be handled in good faith between us; if that fails, the competent courts of Cameroon have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another right.
